Coupang Terms of Use Last updated: June 5, 2023 1. Introduction Thank you for using Coupang. These Coupang Terms of Use (the “Coupang Terms of Use”) will apply when you purchase products or use other services through our Coupang apps or Coupang website (“Coupang E-commerce”), which are operated by Coupang Taiwan Co., Ltd. (“Coupang Taiwan” or “we”) (services provided through Coupang E-commerce will be referred to collectively as the "Coupang Services"). If you use any of the Coupang Services, you will be agreeing to the Coupang Terms of Use, so please read the following carefully. 2. Service-specific Terms of Use We offer a range of Coupang Services, and additional terms and conditions may apply. When you use a Coupang Service, you will also be subject to the terms, conditions, policies etc. applicable to that Coupang Service. If these general Coupang Terms of Use are inconsistent with the service-specific Terms of Use, the service-specific Terms of Use will control to the extent of the inconsistency. 3. Use of Coupang Services In order to use the Coupang Services, you must register an account and a user is only allowed to register one account for his/her/its use. If you wish to register an account, please enter the required and authentic information on the account registration form, register a valid payment method (a credit card, debit card or other payment methods designated by Coupang Taiwan), and declare that you agree to the Coupang Terms of Use; and if needed, we will ask you to provide supplemental information. When we approve your registration request, an agreement will be deemed to have been made between you and us in accordance with the Coupang Terms of Use. We may reject any registration request at our discretion. If you are under the age of 18 or the legal age prescribed under the applicable law, please use the Coupang Services through your parents’ or legal representative’s account under their involvement. You must not use Coupang E-commerce or the Coupang Services (including any promotion or marketing activities launched by Coupang itself or with third parties, and any possessing or use of Coupang Cash or other vouchers) for any purpose that is unlawful, potentially illegal, not in accordance with general commercial integrity, conflicting with Coupang Terms of Use or other applicable terms, or fraudulent. The Coupang Services must be used in accordance with the principle of fairness and honesty, and solely for ordinary purposes in accordance with the Coupang Terms of Use. Please note that under our reasonable doubts of you or anyone violating the law, potentially affecting the market or normal transactions, misusing Coupang Services, engaging in transactions for purposes of resale or other than general consumption, using unfair means to conduct competition or to seek profits (collectively referred to as "Illegal/Improper Uses"), we may, within the extent permitted by the laws, restrict the provision of the Coupang Services, the use of your account, or the purchase of products, your request for refund or return of the products purchased, request you to undergo certain procedures, (such as age and identity verifications), rescind the transaction or suspend to supply products or take other necessary measures before you making relevant applications or providing certain evidence showing your compliance with applicable laws and regulations,. The aforementioned Illegal/ Improper Uses include but not limited to: abnormally frequent and excessive purchase of products of the same or related brands, the same user applying for or substantially having multiple Coupang accounts, the same user using multiple Coupang accounts to repeatedly obtain vouchers or participate in promotion activities, transfer or sale of vouchers or the title of participating in promotion activities, repeatedly using vouchers or participating in promotion activities, abusing free shipping and fast returns without providing proof or reasonable explanation, request for refund, return, replacement or compensation for the normal wear and tear of products due to the delivery, and using Coupang accounts to harass, insult or threaten Coupang (including customer service staff) or third parties. If there is any change in your membership details registered through Coupang E-commerce, please reflect such change on your Coupang account details. If any notice delivered by us cannot be reached to you due to your inaccurate or outdated information or other reasons not attributable to us, it should be deemed that we have completed the delivery of the notice. You are responsible for managing your account’s user ID and password. Please do not provide or disclose your ID or password to any third party, or allow any third party to use your ID or password. If you find or suspect that your account or password has been misused by others, you should notify us immediately and we will suspend any handling of the transaction or other processing originating from your account upon receipt of your notice. You will be solely responsible for any action taken using your account, unless you have notified of the foregoing or provided sufficient documents proving such misuse is not attributable to you. If we become aware of any unauthorized use of your account or your use of the Coupang Services is suspected of failing to comply with international Internet security regulations and practices; transmitting or distributing computer viruses or malicious code that may damage, tamper with, delete or collect personal data without authorization; or engaging in any other misconduct that may interfere with our services or systems, thereby affecting the Company’s normal operation or our systems’ safe and reliable operation, we may restrict or suspend the use of your account and relevant transactions without notice when we deem it necessary to restrict your access to Coupang Services. If you violate the Coupang Terms of Use, you must return to us all profits arising from such violation and compensate us for any damage or losses that we incur. Further, you will not have the right to object with respect to any measures that we take, such as the suspension of your account, the suspension of the provision of any services, and any cancellation of orders. 4. Provision of, and Changes to, Coupang Services We conduct the purchase and sale of products through Coupang E-commerce and provide other ancillary services to you. We may, at our discretion, add or change any service that is provided through Coupang E-commerce. A purchased product’s name, price, content, specifications and other relevant information about the product and any limitations on your order (e.g. limitations on purchase quantities and purchase conditions), all of which will be indicated on the product details pages, as well as the Coupang Terms of Use, will constitute a part of the sales contract binding on you. After receiving your offer for purchase of a certain product, If such product becomes unavailable (e.g. due to the product being sold out, inaccurate transaction terms, a change in its specifications or other abnormal situations where we cannot accept the order) thereafter, we may, by ourselves or as instructed by the counterparty of the sales contract involved, change the details of the product based on the sales contract that was concluded with respect to the product or the transaction may be canceled and you will be refunded. In such a case, we will notify you of such change reasonably promptly. Subject to the preceding Article and paragraph, we may, at our discretion and without prior notice, refuse to provide the Coupang Services, cancel the license to use the Coupang Services set forth in Article 9 below, delete or edit any content of the Coupang Services, deactivate your account, cancel your orders, or change or suspend any campaigns, promotions, etc. We will not be liable for any damage or losses suffered by you as a result of the foregoing. 5. Conditions and restrictions on marketing promotions Coupang Taiwan may, from time to time and on its own or with third parties, launch exclusive marketing or promotional activities to users who meet certain qualification or for specific types of services, specific categories of products, or limited products offered, such as providing limited vouchers, invitations to participate in activities for the users who meet certain qualifications or conditions. The target users, conditions, terms, or policies of the marketing or promotional activities will be announced separately on the applicable product information pages, service area, or checkout pages. If a user is found to be ineligible for the exclusive marketing or promotion activities but still has participated in, to have violated the terms or policies applicable to the marketing or promotion, or to have abused the exclusive marketing or promotion in any way, including but not limited to using another person's eligibility to participate in the promotion, purchasing products for purposes other than his or her personal use, or any other conduct that constitutes a violation of law or misuse as set forth in Article 3 of the Coupang Terms of Use, such a user will be deemed as violating the Coupang Terms of Use. To the fullest extent permitted by law and without excluding the application of Article 3 of the Coupang Terms of Use, Coupang Taiwan reserves the right to cancel the promotion or the qualification to participate in the promotion activities, to require the user to pay the price difference, or to cancel the transaction. 6. Coupang Cash How can Coupang Cash be acquired You may acquire Coupang Cash without compensation granted based on the terms, conditions and/or policies applicable to the kind of the Coupang Services you use, marketing or promotional activities you participate. After your purchase of the product, if you claim for the refund in accordance with the terms and conditions applicable to the Coupang Service you use for the purchase and due to the nature of the payment method you used the refund cannot be provided through your original payment method, we may provide you special Coupang Cash as the payment of the refund. The foregoing terms, conditions and/or policies in terms of Coupang Cash may be prescribed and announced by us from time to time. If your membership with Coupang Taiwan is suspended, your account will be restricted with respect to using or obtaining Coupang Cash. If there is any special Coupang Cash in your account when your membership is suspended, we will notify you of how to proceed within the designated period. In such cases and to the extent permitted by law and regulations, we will not be responsible for any damages or losses you may incur. When any of the following occurs: (1) you withdraw your consent to any of our user terms; (2) If your membership with Coupang Taiwan is disqualified or (3) if your Coupang account ID is otherwise deleted, your Coupang Cash stored in such account will also be deleted. We will not be responsible for any damages or losses you may incur in cases where your Coupang account or Coupang Cash is deleted, provided that if any special Coupang Cash is involved, it would be handled separately. Use of Coupang Cash You shall use Coupang Cash according to Coupang Taiwan's policy on the provision and use of Coupang Cash, which governs matters concerning the period of use, way of use, expiration, etc. of Coupang Cash. Coupang Taiwan may provide more related details for use of Coupang Cash on its pages for the related Services or activities. Any terms, conditions and policy related to Coupang Cash will be decided at Coupang Taiwan's sole discretion and is subject to any change made by Coupang Taiwan subsequently from time to time.。 When you use Coupang Cash, Coupang Cash that expires first will be deducted first, and the deduction of Coupang Cash will be made on the check-out page immediately when you use certain Coupang Services (e.g. Rocket Delivery Services and Rocket Overseas Services) allowing deduction of Coupang Cash to purchase products. You may use Coupang Cash only for your own purchase of products through Coupang Services. The sales or transfer of Coupang Cash to any other person, or any other act that could be deemed as sales or transfer of Coupang Cash in substance, are not allowed in any case. Rights to Coupang Cash cannot be transferred to another person, nor can Coupang Cash be lent or pledged as collateral to any other party. Except for the special Coupang Cash or other applicable terms stipulating otherwise, the maximum amount of Coupang Cash that can be accumulated by you at any given time is NT$100,000. Except for the special Coupang Cash or other applicable terms stipulating otherwise, Coupang Cash cannot be withdrawn into cash or refunded. Except for the special Coupang Cash or other applicable terms stipulating otherwise, generally, used Coupang Cash will not be returned to you, and even if a transaction where the Coupang Cash was used has been cancelled according to the applicable terms, nor will Coupang Cash refunds be issued. You will bear responsibility for any tax or any costs that arise in relation to any acquisition and use of Coupang Cash. Prohibited Use of Coupang Cash; Indemnification You are prohibited from carrying out any of the following with respect to Coupang Cash: (1) acts that may lead to, or be involved in, fraud or any other criminal offences; (2) acts that consolidate Coupang Cash stored in multiple Coupang accounts into a single Coupang account; (3) acts that utilize multiple Coupang accounts to unjustly obtain Coupang Cash; (4) acts that involve the exchange of Coupang Cash for cash, goods, or other economic benefits in a way other than those designated by us; (5) acts that involve sales, gifts or in any way transfer of Coupang Case to any other person or Coupang account; and (6) any other acts that we otherwise deem inappropriate. If we determine that you have obtained or used Coupang Cash by a misconduct, in any fraudulent means or in any inappropriate manner (including but not limited to cases where you try to acquire Coupang Cash for reselling purposes), we may decide not to grant Coupang Cash or cancel or retrieve all or some of the Coupang Cash that has already been granted (“Granted Coupang Cash”), retrieve or restrict the use of Coupang Cash, disqualify your e-commerce membership with Coupang Taiwan (i.e. deletion of the user account), take civil and/or criminal actions, and/or take any other necessary measures. If an original reason that serves as a basis for the accumulation of Coupang Cash through an event, etc. turns out to be nonexistent or have expired ex-post, Coupang Taiwan may cancel or retrieve such Coupang Cash. In case where the necessary measures set forth under this Article are taken, if the Granted Coupang Cash has already been consumed, we may, in a manner as we deem fit, take a necessary measure such as cancelling the amount equivalent to the Granted Coupang Cash from other Coupang Cash owned by you, instead of cancelling the Granted Coupang Cash. If we request you to make a certain payment to us in cash or in a manner that we designate, you must immediately do so. Effective Period; Expiration The effective period and expiration of Coupang Cash will be subject to the terms, conditions and/or policies applicable to related services, marketing or promotional activities, etc., which may be prescribed and announced by us from time to time. Except for the special Coupang Cash or other applicable terms stipulating otherwise, the maximum period of validity of Coupang Cash is 60 calendar days from the date of acquisition or as otherwise agreed upon in the relevant policy, after which it cannot be used. Please be aware of the total amount of Coupang Cash stored in your account and its expiration date. We will not remind or notify Coupang Cash holders of the impending expiry of Coupang Cash before the expiration date. 7. Personal Information Any personal information relating to you that we acquire in connection with the provision of the Coupang Services will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Notice. Please read our Privacy Notice for details. 8. Electronic Notices You consent to communicate with us and declare intent to receive communications from us electronically. We may send notices to you by e-mail, SMS, notifications made through Coupang E-commerce (e.g. our app’s push notifications) or telephone. Notices to unspecified customers may be posted through Coupang E-commerce instead of giving notices to individual customers. You agree that, through these notices, the communication set forth in these notices will be deemed to have been made in writing. You may, at any time, refuse to receive such notices, except in relation to guidelines that we send to you in order to satisfy any obligations under applicable laws and regulations, our responses to inquiries received from you, and information relating to transactions made through Coupang E-commerce. 9. Copyright Copyright and all other intellectual property rights in any copyrighted work prepared by us will belong to us. We grant to you a limited, non-exclusive, non-commercial and personal license to use Coupang E-commerce and the Coupang Services (including accounts, IDs, etc. that are required for their use) in accordance with all terms and conditions specified by us. You must not assign, transfer or sublicense the aforesaid license, or use the aforesaid license for any purpose other than the ordinary use of Coupang E-commerce or the Coupang Services, such as the ordering of products. You must not, without our prior written consent, use any information provided to you through Coupang E-commerce or the Coupang Services (including software provided to you in connection with Coupang E-commerce or the Coupang Services (the “Coupang Software”)) for any purpose other than the use of the Coupang Services, including by way of reproducing, copying, downloading, modifying, creating derivative works, exporting, transmitting, publishing, distributing, licensing, leasing, selling, transferring, any collection and use of any product information (such as descriptions or prices), any use of data mining, robots or similar data gathering and extraction tools, or making publicly available such information, or by any other means. You must not decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble or modify any Coupang Software. We may provide updates for the Coupang Software from time to time without notice. The use of a Coupang Software may involve the use of services provided by third parties, which may or may not be free of charge, and such services may be subject to their respective terms of use. If there is any conflict between these individual terms of use and the Coupang Terms of Use, these individual terms of use will prevail. If you use the license granted to you in violation of the Coupang Terms of Use, the license will be terminated immediately. 10. Trademarks The rights to all trademarks and logos displayed through Coupang E-commerce belong to us or third parties. Accordingly, you must not use them without the prior written consent of us or their owners. 11. Content Provided by Customers You may post textual, audio, photographic, video and other content ("User Content"), such as reviews on products, through Coupang E-commerce. You agree to grant to us the right, including a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, complete and sub-licensable license, to use, reproduce, change, adapt, make publicly available, translate, create secondary works, distribute, and display to the world in any form of media, the User Content. This license will continue even if you stop using the Coupang Services or your account has been suspended. You represent and warrant that: (1) you are the exclusive owner of all User Content, or have all rights to grant the rights relating to the User Content that are set forth above; (2) your posting of the User Content, our use of the User Content, etc. will not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights or other rights, or constitute a violation of applicable laws and regulations; and (3) the User Content is accurate. We will have the right to monitor the content of all User Content, and edit or delete any User Content that we deem inappropriate (including, without limitation, anything that violates laws or regulations, or is factually incorrect, violent, obscene, defamatory, or infringes any person’s right to privacy, intellectual property rights or other rights). Such monitoring is not an obligation on us, and we will have no obligation or responsibility in respect of any User Content. 12. Claims Relating to Intellectual Property Rights If you believe that any copyright or other intellectual property right that belongs to you has been infringed in connection with Coupang E-commerce, please contact us using the contact details set forth in Article 19 below. 13. Use of Google Maps and Google Translate The Coupang Services incorporate Google Maps’ functions and contents, and may contain translations or other services powered and provided by Google (collectively, the “Google Services”). You understand and agree that the use of the Google Services requires you to abide by the terms and policies set forth below. If you fail to comply with any of the following terms or policies, we will have the right to suspend or terminate your use of the Coupang Services. Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service; and Google's Privacy Policy. You may not use the Google Services or any part thereof for the following purposes: (1) infringing, or promoting the infringement of, legal rights of other persons (including the infringement or misappropriation of intellectual property rights of other persons); (2) engaging in, promoting and encouraging misconduct; (3) any purpose that is illegal, invasive, infringing, defamatory or fraudulent (including phishing, pyramid schemes and website mirroring); (4) any purpose related to sexual content, services and products (including escort services, erotic massage services, pornographic images and sex-related devices); (5) deliberately distributing viruses, worms, Trojan horses, corrupt files, fraudulent information, or other items of a destructive or deceptive nature; (6) interfering with the use by users of the Coupang Services, delivery company staff or other related persons of the Google Services functions, or equipment for the provision of the Google Services functions; (7) invalidating, interfering with or avoiding any aspect of the Google Services functions; (8) generating, distributing, making publicly available or promoting unapproved mass emails, promotions, advertisements or other solicitations; or (9) accessing other Google products or services using the Google Services functions or interfaces provided by the Google Services functions, in a manner that violates the terms of use of other Google products or services. 14. Disclaimer All Coupang Services, products, information, contents, etc. provided through Coupang E-commerce are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, unless otherwise stipulated in writing. We make no representation or warranty, whether express or implied, with regard to the nature of the Coupang Services, the information displayed on Coupang E-commerce (including product descriptions), the contents of Coupang E-commerce, or any products or services provided through Coupang E-commerce, including any representations or warranties of accuracy, reliability, and any implied representations or warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You will be solely responsible for the use of Coupang E-commerce and the Coupang Services. Coupang maintains the safe operation of Coupang E-commerce with methods and technologies that are generally considered reasonably expectable at present. In addition to the aforementioned situation, to the extent permitted by laws and regulations, we will not be liable to you for any damage or losses (including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential losses) arising out of the use of Coupang or the Coupang Services. Except as otherwise provided by law, if any of the events set forth below occurs, we will have the right to suspend, change or terminate any of the Coupang Services, and we will not be liable for any damage or losses (including loss of profits that were expected from the use of the Coupang Services) suffered by you as a result of such suspension, change or termination: (1) any natural disaster, intervention, order or request of a governmental agency, or epidemic, or any other force majeure event that is equivalent to the foregoing; (2) any inability to continue the provision of the Coupang Services due to a change in the nature of our business, a transfer of a business to a third party or any other reason; or (3) the information on Coupang Services is incorrectly displayed or falsified, tampered with, deleted, retrieved, interrupted, or unable to function properly for reasons beyond Coupang Taiwan's control; or the Coupang Services are suspended or interrupted by any other reason unattributable to Coupang Taiwan; or (4) any disruption of communication due to maintenance, inspection or replacement of any telecommunications equipment or any software, hardware or equipment used in relation to the Coupang Services. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, if you are unable to use the Coupang Services due to any reason that is attributable to you, we will not be liable for any damage or losses incurred by you that arise out of or in connection with such inability to use the Coupang Services. 15. Indemnification You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Coupang Taiwan, our affiliates, and our and their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents, against any third-party claim, loss, damage, settlement, cost, expense, administrative penalty, or other liability arising from or related to your use of Coupang Services or your violation of the Coupang Terms of Use. 16. Sanctions and Export Control If you are subject to any sanctions imposed under U.S. sanctions laws, you will not be permitted to use the Coupang Services. You will be obligated to comply with all applicable export and re-export control laws, including U.S. export control laws, in connection with all products, software, technology and services provided through the Coupang Services. 17. Amendments to Coupang Terms of Use; Severability These Coupang Terms of Use took effect on July 7, 2021 and were last updated as stated above. We may change the Coupang Terms of Use, Service-specific Terms of Use and policies etc. If we change the above-mentioned Terms of Use and policies and such change will substantially affect the parties' rights or obligations therein, we will post the revised ones through Coupang E-commerce or other appropriate methods, together with the effective date of the change. We will obtain your advance consent to such changes where required by applicable law. To the extent permitted by laws and regulations, the revised ones will apply to the use of the Coupang Services on or after the effective date that is posted through Coupang E-commerce. If you continue using the Coupang Services on or after the effective date of the change, you will be deemed to have consented to the revised Coupang Terms of Use, Service-specific Terms of Use and policies. If the event of any ambiguity in the provisions of the Coupang Terms of Use, to protect customers’ interest, we agree that the interpretation in favor of customers will prevail. Even if any individual provisions of the Coupang Terms of Use become invalid for any reason, such as due to a conflict with mandatory provisions of applicable laws, they will not affect the validity of the other provisions of the Coupang Terms of Use. If we transfer or assign our business relating to the Coupang Services, we will have the right to transfer, to the transferee or assignee of the business, our legal position under the Coupang Terms of Use, any rights and obligations thereunder, and any customer information relating to you. You will be deemed to have given your prior approval with respect to such transfer or assignment. 18. Governing Law and Jurisdiction The validity and interpretation of the Coupang Terms of Use, and any dispute relating to the Coupang Services will be governed by the laws of Taiwan. Unless otherwise provided by applicable law, the Taiwan Taipei District Court will have jurisdiction in the first instance over any and all disputes or disagreements arising from or in connection with the Coupang Services. 19. Customer Service Information: records of contact with our customer service team or other Coupang staff whether via phone, email, instant messenger or social media. Device Information: details of the device used to access our services including type of device and type/version of OS. Location Information: the GPS location of your device when you enter or update your address or when you activate our app (the collection of this information can be disabled via your mobile device operating system). Payment Information: credit card holder name, number, expiry date, security code, billing address and other information on the financial account and supporting documents required for the conversion of our payment from special Coupang Cash to cash. Transaction Information: products and services purchased (including relevant photos and videos), delivery information, special requests or instructions, cancellations and refunds, and the amount of Coupang Cash or other cash rewards provided and used. If you choose to use the mobile payment or other payment methods in our app provided by a third-party service operator, the relevant payment information would be collected by such third-party service operator and it would be protected and managed in accordance with such third-party service operator ‘s privacy policy. Customs Clearance Information: name and mobile phone number, delivery address, power of attorney, and Taiwan ID card number or alien resident certificate number (or if you do not have either of these documents, a copy of your passport). Login and Usage Information: access to our app including logins/outs, browsing activity, software configuration and diagnostic information, IP address, network configuration, and other usage information. When you choose to log in with your valid third-party user account, information on your third-party user account and login will be provided by such third-party user account provider to us. Tax /GUI Information: email, transaction time, transaction details for issuing GUI. If you choose not to provide your personal information or provide incomplete personal information, we might not be able to offer you the relevant products/services mentioned herein. Note: If you provide Coupang with the personal information of a third party (for example, where you request your order be delivered to another person), you are responsible for explaining the purpose and extent of shared personal information, and you confirm that you have obtained the third party’s consent. 2. Purpose. We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes: Administration: opening, managing, and closing your Coupang account. Location Information: accelerating the delivery times of products and services. For that purpose, location Information may be combined with your name, delivery address, and delivery instructions. Product and Service Purchases: processing orders and payments, facilitating the completion of your transaction with offshore sellers, performing customs clearance where required, delivering and providing products and services, verifying age when you purchase age restricted products, managing refunds, exchanges and recalls, providing Coupang Cash or other cash rewards, and making service delivery faster and more efficient. Diagnostics: understanding and improving the performance of our products, services, and systems. Prevention of Fraud, Suspicious Activities or abuses of Coupang Services: detecting and preventing fraud, suspicious activities, abuses of Coupang Services and other abusive behavior. Marketing and Market Analysis: providing customized offers from Coupang tailored to your interests (we do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes), or based on your browsing history, transaction record or other information you provided, conducting market analysis by Coupang or a third party it mandates so as to develop and provide better customer services in the future. Legal and Regulatory: responding to requests from our regulators or other government authorities, protecting the rights of Coupang, its staff, and customers, performing tax reporting, providing GUI, and otherwise complying with applicable law. Data Transfer. We share personal information with the following parties: Service Providers: we share with service providers (including financial institutions, payment and invoice service providers, logistics and customs brokerage service providers, and the businesses providing verification services for customs clearance, joint marketing services and other technical services) to allow Coupang to receive services or to provide services to you on behalf of Coupang. Service providers sign contracts that require them to only use personal information as instructed(and for no other purpose) and to protect personal information according to our standards. Related Companies: we share with related Coupang companies (i.e. affiliates) for administration, operations, and business and product/service development that are relevant to our provision of services or interactions with you. Offshore Sellers: when you directly purchase products from the offshore sellers via our platform, to the extent necessary to fulfill the transaction, we will share your personal information with the offshore sellers. Coupang does not mask users’ mobile number, their Coupang account and National ID No. on the registration and log in pages to ensure that users can confirm that the information they input on the interface during the registration or login process is correct. In addition, as users could see their personal information such as their Coupang account, mobile number and email only after they input their passwords and such information is not as highly risked as information related to payment tools (for example, credit card number and validation information), Coupang does not mask the aforementioned information. Users shall take their own initiative and ensure the security of the devices, equipment and related log-in information that they use, and prevent others from looking at, illegally using or obtaining their log-in information, modifying their basic identify information, destroying their records and so on. Users who identify the occurrence of such situations shall immediately inform Coupang to terminate all related services and take preventative measures (including but not limited to, payment suspensions or password changes). Coupang will assist in the investigation, clarifications and fact-finding about the misuse or theft of information. However, if users deliberately or negligently cause damage, they shall bear the consequences themselves. 5. Retaining. We keep personal information for so long as reasonably required to complete the purpose for which it was originally collected. We may keep certain personal information for a longer period where required for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud detection and prevention) or to comply with applicable law. 6. Deleting. Coupang deletes or destroys personal information when the information is rendered unnecessary by the expiration of its retention period or by achieving the purpose of collection, processing or use.
